| Youth Director |
John Worzala
Dumke
| Hello! My name is John
Worzala Dumke and I am pleased and excited to be
coming on board as the Youth Minister at Trinity.
I am originally from Green Bay,
Wisconsin - and yes, I love my Packers, but also
am a die hard fan of Wisconsin Badger football,
Basketball, and Hockey, and I would give just
about anything to see the Milwaukee Brewers win a
World Series. |
 |
I attended the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and studied Theatre and Film
during my four years there. I never really got to
do much of either professionally since I started
out as a Youth Coordinator at a large church in
Appleton, WI shortly after I graduated. My
passion for Youth ministry started while working
summers at Imago Dei Village, a Lutheran Bible
Camp in Northeastern Wisconsin during those
college days. My interest in Pastoral ministry
grew while working with the Youth of Prince of
Peace, and was really put in to motion while I
worked on a certificate in Youth and Family
Ministry at Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA. I
have recently just finished my Masters of
Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological
Seminary and am ready to get things rolling here
in Pleasanton!
Just recently
I became a father for the first time as my wife
Kirsten (pronounced Cure-Stin, or Rhymes with
Cheer-Stin or Beer-Stin) and I welcomed to the
world our daughter Roman Malia (pronounced
Mah-lia) Worzala Dumke.
I am excited for this calling and
I am looking forward to the ministry that you and
I will be partners in at Trinity Lutheran, and
for the many opportunities to hear and live out
how the story of Jesus and our personal stories
come together in a collision of Grace. |
